Culture makes people understand each other better. And if they understand each other better in their soul, it is easier to overcome the economic and political barriers. But first they have to understand that their neighbour is, in the end, just like them, with the same problems, the same questions.
-Paulo Coelho

As global citizens, there is no excuse to not be well versed in the different cultures and practices of people of different nations and cultures. That is why Ephphatha Academy strives to instill a sense of culture in its students. Ephphatha doesn’t just explore other cultures, we explore our own Nigerian cultures as well. Teaching tradition, significant practices, cultural foods, and experiences.

Culture is the backbone of any civilized society and a strong sense of culture gives learners a feeling of belonging as well as showing differences that exist in other cultures of the world.

This can be seen in the Ephphatha meets the world events where learners study on a particular culture and present their findings.

Ephphatha also offers courses in Spanish and French equipping learners with skills to enhance their chances of success in the future.

The culture connection program gives students the confidence to go out into the world and be knowledgeable enough to guide their own decisions. It broadens the learner’s world view giving them better problem solving and critical thinking skills as well as learning about behaviors or peoples from all over the world making them good communicators and leaders.
